PROJECT CRADLE CARE
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s Project CRADLE Care is one of our essential programs designed to raise awareness of disparate and inequitable maternal and infant health outcomes Black women endure through community outreach, advocacy, education, and implicit bias training. In so doing, we aim to mitigate outcome and life-course disparities in our communities.
Through Project CRADLE Care, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and the March of Dimes collaborate to address the issues that adversely affect minority women and their children ranging from chronic physiological stressors and underlying health conditions to structural racism and implicit biases in our healthcare system.
This year the Nu Sigma Sigma Chapter is donating items and providing educational materials to families (mothers, newborns, and their siblings) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Ascension Seton Hays Hospital. We are looking to make an impact on the lives of at least 50 families in the community in 2025.
You can help by clicking the DONATE button below to select and send items from our Amazon Gift registry. These items will be donated to the NICU families at Ascension Seton Hays Hospital. We thank you in advance for your generosity!
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
